Three years, has passed since the bottom picture was taking. The bottom picture has since gained a lot of favorites and was published in Trains magazine last year. The top picture is the new view, the Chicago skyline building itself further up. I wonder what it will look like in 2019 from this view?

Metra under the bridge
When I go down to Chicago I walk the whole time. I do this because I see more walking then if I were riding a bike or driving. I made it to Racine Street on the Metra lines out of Union Station this last time. I found this signal bridge and a nice view of Willis Tower. These types of signals are called Position Lights.
Harvard signal
I was in Harvard Illinois this weekend on my way to Janesville and drove around there Metra Station and saw this. I liked the cloud cover and the red signal. This Metra F40 is on the Union Pacific Northwest line. I also noticed a few cars there with no engine connected to them. On my way around there and to Janesville I never realized how many of grain elevators are connected to the railroad in southern Wisconsin.
